How Color Inversion Works
Color inversion is achieved by applying a mathematical transformation to each RGB color channel:
Inverted Green = 255 - Original Green
Inverted Blue = 255 - Original Blue
This process creates the “opposite” color on the RGB color space. For example, pure red (#FF0000) becomes cyan (#00FFFF), and pure blue (#0000FF) becomes yellow (#FFFF00). This is useful for creating complementary color schemes and understanding color relationships.
Color Formats Explained
RGB (Red, Green, Blue)
Each color is represented by three values from 0-255. This is the most common format for digital displays and web development.
HSV (Hue, Saturation, Value)
Hue (0-360°): The color itself on the color wheel. Saturation (0-100%): How vivid the color is. Value (0-100%): How bright the color is.
HSL (Hue, Saturation, Lightness)
Similar to HSV but uses Lightness instead of Value. Lightness (0-100%): How light or dark the color is, with 50% being the pure color.
HEX
A six-digit hexadecimal code representing the RGB values. Each pair of characters represents one color channel (Red, Green, Blue).
